OBIOHA VAL EKPUNOBI Esq, hail from Okwanwoke Isiokwu Ihioma in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State Nigeria.
He completed his primary education in 1977 at St. Alphonsus Primary School Ihioma Orlu Local Government Area and proceeded to the Abba Technical School in Nkwerre and completed his Secondary School at Awo Idemili Community Secondary School in 1982 where he obtained his WASC/GCE and later enrolled into the University of Benin where he obtained a degree in Law in 1989 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990.
He had a stint of practice in the chambers of Anthony Idigbe and Co and in 1992 established Oguwugo chambers where he has been the Principal Partner till date.
He has variously engaged in people oriented activities especially in cooperative movement of various types. He is the Legal Adviser to Prudent Somolu Multipurpose Cooperative Society and the Secretary to Ogowugo Nnenato Multipurpose Cooperative Society Orlu. He is a founding member of Eastern Heartland Foundation (EHF) an non-profit organization.
He is widely travelled and has a wide range of experience in various aspects of law and business management. A farmer and currently the chairman of Ogowugo Farm Ltd.
He is a community Organizer and presently the legal adviser to Ihioma Youths Associations. He is a member of Ihioma traditional Council of Chiefs and holds the title of Ekemezienwa 1 of Ihioma.
Chief Val Obioha is a Roman Catholic and a member of the order of the Knight of Saint Mulumba. He is happily married to Ifeoma Val Obioha and blessed with 3 happy children.
